What is USEBY?

USEBY is a kitchen memory app designed to remember what food you have, where it is stored, when it needs using, and what you may need to replace.

It helps you see what is already at home, what needs using soon, and what should be added back to your shopping list.

Does USEBY work without a smart fridge?

Yes. USEBY is designed for ordinary kitchens.

It works with the fridge, freezer, pantry, cupboards, shopping habits, and household routines people already have. No smart fridge is needed.

Is USEBY food-safety advice?

No. USEBY helps organise food information, reminders, estimates, translations, and guidance, but it does not replace product labels, official food-safety guidance, medical advice, or personal judgement.

Always check the product label and use personal judgement before eating food.

What is the difference between USEBY Core and USEBY Family?

USEBY Core is for personal food management.

USEBY Family is for shared household food management, so more than one person can stay in sync with food, expiry dates, shopping, and items that need replacing.

What is Bought Before?

Bought Before helps USEBY remember items added before, so regular groceries and household items are easier to add again.

It is designed to reduce repeated typing and make shopping feel more natural over time.

Can USEBY be used offline?

USEBY is designed to keep key app information available on your device where possible.

Some features, such as account sync, household sharing, subscriptions, support, or updates, may need an internet connection.

Does the website track me?

No. The USEBY website does not use tracking, analytics, cookies, forms, accounts, or a backend.

How do I delete my account?

Account deletion can be requested from within the USEBY app.

How do subscriptions work?

USEBY subscriptions are managed through the App Store.

Monthly and yearly plans may be available, with a free trial where offered.

Is scanning or voice input perfect?

No. Scanning and voice input are helpful shortcuts, but they may need review or correction.

USEBY lets items be checked and edited before they are saved.
